The rest of our week in New York was wonderful! Thad worked everyday from 8-5 so I just hung out in the hotel room by myself, went out and explored the city a little by myself, and ate lunch by myself!
My Aunt Kelly and Uncle Bruce were visiting New York the same time we were, so they came into the city one day and I was able to meet them for lunch! It was fun to see them there.
One thing I loved about New York is there were random pieces of art all over the place. You never knew when or where you were going to happen upon something like. . .a gigantic white head in the middle of a park! Weird!
Going to the top of the Empire State Building was so cool; I have never seen anything like it. Unfortunately it was impossible to get a good picture of ourselves and the city, I did take some pretty cool ones of just the city though.
One night we took the subway to Riverside Park, which is a park that runs along the Hudson for quite a long way. We walked through the park for a while and ate at a riverside restaurant. We had a perfect little outdoor table overlooking the river.
After dinner we went to the Broadway musical Memphis!!! It was so so amazing. I even think Thad really liked it, or at least he told me he did.
This was my absolute favorite day of our whole vacation (I'm sure Thad probably has a different opinion though).
The rest of the time we pretty much just walked around and saw the city and ate some amazing food.
We had such an awesome time in New York!
